The Star Law Network launches national legal network
Aims to take advantage of the growing power of mobile phones with **LAW
Albany, New York - The Star Law Network, has recently launched its national legal network designed to take advantage of the growing power of mobile phones. Built around the **LAW (**529) mobile calling number, the Star Law Network provides an evolutionary step in the way legal services will be accessed in the 21st Century, giving practically instant access to legal services in the personal injury category.
The StarStar mobile calling system allows consumers to share and access information instantaneously, opening up immediate channels of communications between business and consumers at the initial point of contact. By calling the StarStar Number, from any mobile phone connected to a wireless carrier's network, consumers get instant access to the three mobile communications channels, voice, text and mobile web.
"Not only can consumers get an instant connection to an attorney with a simple call, but they can also receive further instruction on what to do in case of injury, accident checklists, links to video and access to a mobile website with even more information anytime, anywhere from any mobile phone connected to a wireless carrier's network," stated Paul Madelone, Chief Marketing Officer of Millennium Business Communications who is the marketing agency for The Star Law Network.
"People don't go anywhere without their mobile phones, they want to make their lives easier and their communications faster and mobile technology does that," stated Paul Harding, Managing Partner at Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP, who is the Star Law licensee for Albany, New York and New York's Capital Region as well as Springfield, Massachusetts and parts of Vermont. "It's very simple, by calling a short and easy to remember mobile number like **LAW (**529), they can quickly and easily get the help they need should they have the misfortune of being injured in an accident."
The Star Law Network will be comprised of highly qualified personal injury attorneys throughout the country. Attorney's in the network will have exclusive access to the **LAW (**529) number within their demographic, and will be the Star Lawyer for their specific market. "The thought of having to defend against the power of this kind of technology and not being the Star Law attorney in my market frightened me. Whether we like it or not, mobile technology is here to stay," added Harding. "First Lawyers got into the phone books, then the world of TV and 1-800 numbers which is now cluttered. With a rapidly growing trend towards mobile communications, this is the future of marketing in the legal category."

"This is an exciting time and I look forward to the challenge, and hopefully representing the Capital Region as Miss New York USA."
To help be successful at her goal, Brittany is working with Chelsea Cooley, Miss USA 2005 and fitness guru, Dr. AT Dunn co-owners of StandOut Productions, the image consulting business in pageantry. "Brittany is a very bright and beautiful young woman. She has grown tremendously throughout her pageant preparations and I know she has what it takes to be a Miss USA!" states Cooley, who has been working with Brittany for over a year now.
Should Brittany capture the Miss New York USA crown, she would represent New York at Miss USA sponsored events and promotions throughout the country for a year. One such event includes interviewing alongside Miss New York Teen USA, which ironically, Kylie Jasenski, Brittany's 16 year old younger sister, is competing in this year. "Sister Queens have never won higher than at the preliminary level of competition for any state, so Kylie and I are out to make history," added Brittany. Alteris Renewables introduces 'Zero Down Solar'
Alteris Renewables, Inc., has introduced new financing options available to homeowners throughout the region that offer solar power systems with no money down. As the first renewable energy integrator to offer residential customers in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont the opportunity to install high quality solar power systems with no money down, Alteris is committed to bringing reliable, sustainable power to the masses.
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (USEIA), while solar energy use is on the rise in the United States, it still makes up only 1% of total energy produced. Cost is often cited as one of the key reasons U.S. consumers are resistant to embracing renewable energy. With growing awareness about proven off-the-shelf technology, concerns about rising fossil fuel costs, energy security and supplies, coupled with Alteris Renewables' new 'Zero Down Solar', deployment of solar energy is expected to expand significantly in the region.
"It is more affordable than ever for homeowners to go green with solar power," said Ron French, President of Alteris Renewables, "By having finance options that allow residential customers to take advantage of state and federal incentives without a significant cash outlay, we are eliminating cost as a hurdle for homeowners looking to reduce their carbon footprint and their dependence on fossil fuels."
Mr. French points out that the company passionately believes that expanding the use of clean and renewable energy will help build our economy, and create a better, more sustainable lifestyle for us all. "Imagine how significant the impact will be as more homeowners embrace clean energy. If less than one percent of the homes in Alteris' home market took advantage of the Zero Down Solar programs to install solar systems, it would be the equivalent of planting more than 135 million trees." Shedrow, a novel by Dean DeLuke is "Off to the races"
Dick Francis meets Robin Cook; First novel is a Race Track Thriller with a medical twist and local interest
Dr. Dean DeLuke, of Clifton Park, New York, an oral surgeon and partner with Dental Offices, LLP and business consultant with Millennium Business Communications, has just published his first novel, entitled Shedrow. Based on a life in racing and inspired by Saratoga, the Race Track Thriller and Medical Drama is set throughout the Eastern United States including Saratoga Springs, New York, and has already received high praise from some of today's bestselling authors, including blockbuster medical thriller writer Michael Palmer.
Palmer, the New York Times bestselling author of The Last Surgeon and 14 other medical thrillers, states: "Shedrow held me from beginning to end and made me want to learn more. Dean DeLuke is a wonderful talent, with a physician's sensitivity and knowledge, and a writer's deft touch with story and language. I am pleased and proud to welcome Dean DeLuke to the family of doctor-writers, and Shedrow to the ranks of razor sharp, fast-paced new novels. Shedrow is a great read, intriguing and exciting—this book moves."
A divergent cast of unforgettable characters with ambition, deception, and revenge on their minds jockey for high stakes as organized crime confronts the thoroughbred racing society in Dean DeLuke's debut thriller, Shedrow. From rolling pastures in Lexington, KY to darkened alleyways in Newark, NJ, from Manhattan's posh '21' Club to a peculiar and mysterious landfill in Eastern Kentucky, and from Saratoga Springs, NY to the tiny island of St. Lucia, Shedrow portrays a collision of characters from many divergent worlds. High society and the racing elite, medical and veterinary specialists, mob figures, and Kentucky hill folk become entangled in this unique twist on the medical thriller.
Shedrow is available August 16, 2010 in bookstores and online. Advanced copies of Shedrow and interviews with Dr. DeLuke available upon request. Dr. DeLuke is donating a portion of all sales proceeds to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, which saves horses that can no longer compete on the racetrack from possible neglect, abuse, or slaughter. Alteris Renewables opens new "TechCity" office
Alteris Renewables, Inc., the largest design-build and integrator of solar and renewable energy systems in the Northeast, is pleased to announce the opening of its new regional office located in Kingston, New York within TechCity, the Hudson Valley Region's first eco-friendly commercial and light industrial complex. The office officially opened for business on August 1, and sees Alteris expanding deeper into New York's Hudson Valley Region, furthering its mission to bring quality, affordable renewable energy systems to homeowners, businesses and schools in the northeast United States.
"As the solar market in New York State, and the entire Northeast continues to rapidly grow, the need to provide quality-engineered solar energy solutions has never been more important," said Michael Stangl, PE, Vice President of Regional Sales for Alteris Renewables. "With a presence in TechCity, Alteris will be able to make its affordable and reliable solar energy systems conveniently available to customers throughout New York's entire Hudson Valley Region."
Alteris entered into Albany, New York with the acquisition of Renewable Power Systems in 2009, and this past May acquired ISI Solar of New City, which saw them expanding into the Lower Hudson Valley Region and New Jersey markets. With TechCity being located mid-way between Albany and New York City, it is quickly becoming known as the HUB of Solar and Renewable Energy Reinvestment in New York State.
The new Alteris office also strengthens TechCity's cluster concept of attracting green, sustainable companies that will benefit from their proximity to one another at TechCity. Alteris now joins a list of tenants within TechCity that includes, Solartech Renewables, which is the only American owned solar panel manufacturer in the eastern United States. Both companies look to benefit by the close proximity as the interest and demand for domestically manufactured solar panels increases. "Considering the growing market for solar power within New York and specifically in this region, it is important for us as a New York company to have this presence within TechCity, the solar energy HUB in the State," added Stangl.
Daniel Wieneke, President, TechCity Properties, said, "TechCity offers a wide-variety of office and manufacturing spaces, as well as a host of amenities, that fit the needs of almost every type of business. We welcome Alteris Renewables to our campus and look forward to working with them as their business continues to grow in the years to come."
